Why join us
You don’t join Forvis Mazars by coincidence, you choose Forvis Mazars: a global school of excellence where you will be challenged to develop and grow. Come and write the rest of (y)our story with us – you’ll make friends along the way too. Forvis Mazars, Grow. Belong. Impact.
An Accounting & Outsourcing Manager supports the operation and development of the Outsourcing team at Forvis Mazars in Taiwan. Most of our clients are the Taiwan entities of foreign-invested companies and multinational groups, so you will work in an international environment and communicate regularly in English with clients’ senior management — CFOs are often expatriates, or finance leadership sits overseas in regional hubs such as Hong Kong or Singapore. Your day-to-day role will be to manage the team responsible for providing outsourced accounting and tax compliance services to our clients. As team leader, you will be expected to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Review the team’s accounting work to ensure compliance with Taiwan financial reporting and tax regulations.
- Prepare accounting reports for use by clients’ management.
- Prepare financial statements for statutory purposes.
- Oversee clients’ tax filings and respond to clients’ accounting and tax queries.
- Ensure that the accounting services provided by the team members are completed on time whilst maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Develop strong client relationships, including client visits and participation in the proposal and quotation process.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients’ C-level and overseas finance management, communicating effectively in English.
- Motivate, develop and train the accountants within the team.
- Improve the efficiency of team members in delivering accounting services within budget. Where there are budget overruns, identify the causes and implement solutions.
You will be supporting the Partner and Director of Accounting & Outsourcing Services to develop the practice’s quality controls and internal processes, IT systems, management information systems and training programs.
Additionally, you will have the chance to work on one-time tasks like setting up control procedures, accounting processes, or assisting with business advisory projects.
