About this position

Position: UK Employment Tax – Manager 
Location: Gurgaon
Experience required – 7 to 10 years

The Role

  • As a UK Employment Tax Manager, you will support a wide range of advisory and compliance projects, providing expertise across PAYE, NIC, expenses and benefits, IR35/worker status, CIS, NMW, termination payments and HMRC enquiries. You will work closely with the UK team, manage your own portfolio of work, and contribute to training, quality control and client delivery.
  • You will have daily interaction with UK stakeholders, real responsibility, and the opportunity to shape how we deliver employment tax services (including how we grow our team in India)

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver UK employment tax advice across PAYE/NIC, benefits, reward strategy, cost reduction, IR35, CIS, NMW and employer compliance.
  • Prepare and review advisory reports, technical notes, HMRC responses and client deliverables.
  • Support and manage UK client engagements, project timelines and deliverables.
  • Support, deliver and manage PSA, P11Ds, Payrolling of Benefits, Due Diligence projects and Senior Accounting Officer engagements
  • Participate in client calls and meetings aligned to UK business hours.
  • Review work from junior team members and help develop internal expertise.
  • Support UK colleagues during peak periods (e.g., PSA season, year-end reporting).

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years
  • Strong knowledge of UK PAYE/NIC rules, HMRC processes and employer compliance.
  • Experience advising on expenses/benefits, IR35, termination payments and employment tax governance.
  • CTA/ATT qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Excellent written English and ability to produce UK-standard reports.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a UK-based team.
  • Comfortable working with partial UK hours overlap.
