As part of the continued growth of our Transaction Services practice in Hong Kong, we are looking for a Manager to join our Deals Advisory team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, advising clients throughout the deal lifecycle while helping to shape the future growth of our practice.
Based in Hong Kong, you will work on buy-side and sell-side transactions across a broad range of industries, including technology, healthcare, consumer, manufacturing, logistics, financial services and industrial sectors. You will collaborate with colleagues across Financial Due Diligence, Valuation, Tax and international Forvis Mazars teams throughout APAC, Europe and North America.

Key responsibilities
Transaction Execution
- Lead and manage financial due diligence engagements from planning through to completion.
- Execute buy-side, sell-side and refinancing due diligence assignments for private equity and corporate clients.
- Analyse financial performance, quality of earnings, cash flow generation, working capital requirements and net debt positions.
- Identify key transaction risks, commercial considerations and value drivers.
- Review business plans, forecasts and financial models to assess the sustainability of future performance.
- Coordinate with tax, valuation, legal and other specialist advisors to deliver integrated transaction advice.
- Prepare and review high-quality due diligence reports and client presentations.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as a key day-to-day contact for client management teams, investors and other transaction stakeholders.
- Participate in management meetings and financial due diligence discussions.
- Present key findings, risks and recommendations clearly and effectively.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and contribute to a positive client experience.
Project Management
- Manage engagement budgets, timelines and project deliverables.
- Lead transaction workstreams and coordinate multiple stakeholders across jurisdictions.
- Ensure engagements are delivered to the highest quality standards and in accordance with the firm’s risk management policies.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and coach Associates and Senior Associates.
- Review team members’ work and provide constructive feedback and technical guidance.
- Support recruitment, training and the professional development of junior staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Business Development
- Support the team in preparing proposals, pitches and thought leadership initiatives.
- Assist in building relationships with private equity funds, corporates and professional intermediaries.
- Contribute to market-facing activities and the continued growth of the Transaction Services practice
Who we are looking for
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- CPA, ACCA, ACA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in Transaction Services, Deals Advisory, Financial Due Diligence or M&A advisory.
- Experience gained within a Big Four, mid-tier professional services firm, or similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading financial due diligence engagements and managing teams.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting standards and transaction mechanics.
- Experience analysing quality of earnings, working capital, net debt and cash conversion.
- Excellent financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data analytics and AI-enabled tools is advantageous.
