Key Responsibilities

As an Audit Senior, you will:

• Apply relevant Industry & Services sector audit experience across industries such as manufacturing, retail,
technology, real estate, professional services, consumer goods, logistics and energy.
• Lead and review high-quality audit work in line with firm methodology, UK auditing standards, and
regulatory requirements.
• Support Engagement Managers and RIs in the UK by supervising offshore team members, providing
on-the-job coaching and facilitating knowledge sharing across the extended audit team.
• Lead or actively contribute to audit planning, including risk assessment, scoping, budgeting and
developing tailored audit approaches.
• Manage audit engagements or significant components of engagements, ensuring timelines, budgets, and
quality expectations are met.
• Monitor team progress and provide regular updates to UK engagement teams, escalating issues where
necessary.
• Ensure audit standards, documentation quality and review processes are followed, including timely
clearance of review notes.
• Act as a key liaison for engagement managers and clients, maintaining proactive communication on audit
issues and engagement status.
• Draft and review audit reports, letters of representation, group reporting packs, and support preparation
of audit committee materials.
• Provide meaningful, constructive feedback to team members, contributing to performance evaluations and
development plans.
• Foster strong working relationships with UK and India team members, resolving issues and supporting
effective cross-border collaboration.


Industry and Services

The Industry and Services audit teams support clients across a broad range of key sectors, including retail, energy, utilities, and manufacturing, offering deep insight into the trends and challenges shaping each industry. Drawing on strong sector-specific expertise and the firm’s international communities, the team combines local market understanding with global perspective to deliver tailored, insightful audits. Their work is underpinned by robust knowledge of evolving industry regulations, technological transformation and market dynamics, enabling clients to strengthen governance, enhance transparency and seize opportunities in an increasingly complex operating environment.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualified ACA / ICAI / CA / ACCA (or equivalent).
  • Experience leading external audits from planning through to completion, preferably within the Industry & Services sector.
  • Strong technical expertise in UK GAAP / FRS 102 / IFRS.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Curious, analytical, and professionally sceptical mindset.
  • Ability to identify issues, apply sector‑based knowledge, and recommend solutions.
  • Self‑driven, responsible, and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to delegate effectively while maintaining quality control.
