AOS, Payroll Assistant Manager

About the team

The Accounting Advisory and Outsourcing Service (AOS) team provides professional accounting, payroll and tax support services to foreign-invested companies in Korea. As part of AOS, Payroll Team provides practical support for our clients’ overall HR operations by managing payroll processes based on a deep understanding of domestic labor and employment laws. Through our global platform and specialized talent, we deliver accurate, consistent services and present flexible, reliable solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, establishing and maintaining strong partnerships

  • Lead onboarding and setup for new clients

  • Execute routine payroll processing, income tax filing, 4 major social insurances, and compliance with labor law regulations for global clients

  • Review work and provide guidance for junior staff

  • Document and standardize payroll processes to establish operational frameworks

  • Conduct research and analysis on payroll-related issues and inquiries

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 3+ years of in-house or outsourced payroll experience at multinational/foreign-invested companies
  • Proven experience in directly handling payroll for organizations with 200+ employees
  • Proficiency in business English (capable of leading meetings with clients)
  • Native-level proficiency in Korean
  • Ability to respond positively, flexibly, and effectively to achieve results in a fast-paced, challenging environment

  • Employment type: Full-time (3-month probationary period)
