Location: Pune (Hybrid)

We are seeking a high-performing IT Audit professional with strong experience in Financial Services / Industry IT environments and a proven track record of delivering complex IT External Audit workstreams. You will bring solid technical capability across ITGC, ITAC and IPE testing, combined with the confidence to engage effectively with client stakeholders and support engagement leadership.

This role requires a commercially aware and technically credible individual who can independently lead key areas of an engagement, apply sound judgement in assessing IT risks, and supervise junior team members to deliver high-quality outcomes. You will operate with increasing leadership responsibility, demonstrating the capability and ambition to progress toward full engagement ownership.

  • Execute and supervise day-to-day IT External Audit procedures across London and UK-based clients.
  • Perform detailed testing of IT General Controls (access management, privileged access, change management, IT operations), IT Application Controls, automated controls, interfaces, and key reports (IPE).
  • Assess design and operating effectiveness of controls within ERP and core banking systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL or similar platforms).
  • Document control walkthroughs, risk assessments, and testing conclusions in accordance with Forvis Mazars Audit Methodology (MAM).
  • Evaluate control environments against applicable frameworks including SOX, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT, and GDPR requirements.
  • Identify control deficiencies, articulate root cause and impact, and draft clear, concise audit findings.
  • Ensure all work is delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and client KPIs.
  • Support engagement planning, risk assessment discussions, and closing meetings with client management.
  • Maintain proactive communication with the core audit team and client stakeholders regarding progress and emerging risks.
  • Supervise, review and coach Associates and Senior Associates, ensuring high documentation standards.
  • Maintain stability under pressure and ensure deadlines are met without compromising audit quality.
  • Develop a practical understanding of cybersecurity controls, cloud environments, data governance, and emerging technology risks.
  • Build effective working relationships with client IT, risk, and finance stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the IT Audit practice through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
