Executive/Senior Executive, Business Development

About this position

We are seeking a commercially driven and relationship-oriented Business Development Senior Executive to support the Forvis Mazars in Singapore’s growth initiatives across Outsourcing and Tax Service Lines, while also playing a key role in planning and executing client-facing events, seminars, and strategic marketing initiatives. This role is suited for a candidate who understands professional services, possesses strong interpersonal and organisational skills, and is able to translate market opportunities into long-term client relationships.

The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and Service Line Leaders to identify prospects, nurture pipelines, and enhance the firm’s market presence.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and pursue key prospects to expand the firm’s client portfolio within Outsourcing, Tax, and related advisory services.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
  • Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers, finance leaders, and business owners to understand their operational and compliance needs.
  • Prepare tailored proposals, credentials decks, and engagement letters in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Support negotiations and closing of new engagements alongside Partners and Service Line Heads.

Strategic Account & Pipeline Management 

  • Develop structured account and pursuit plans for priority prospects and strategic industries.
  • Monitor pipeline progress and conversion rates using CRM (i.e., NetSuite) or internal tracking tools.
  • Provide timely feedback on lead quality and market trends to refine targeting strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with Tax, Outsourcing, Audit, and Advisory teams to align client solutions with technical expertise.
  • Coordinate seamless handovers to onboarding and delivery teams upon successful engagement to ensure service continuity and client satisfaction.

Events Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute seminars, webinars, roundtables, and networking events aimed at client acquisition and relationship building.
  • Liaise with marketing team and external vendors on event logistics, branding materials, invitations, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Support thought-leadership initiatives including articles, newsletters, and industry collaborations to enhance market visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accountancy, Marketing, or related disciplines.
  • 3–6 years of experience in Business Development, Client Relationship Management, or Professional Services Sales (accounting, tax, consulting, or legal firms preferred).
  • Familiarity with outsourcing, tax compliance, or finance-related services will be advantageous.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple pursuits, deadlines, and events concurrently.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and presentation tools.
